Chigusa Iinuma (飯沼 千草 Īnuma Chigusa) is the wife of Seijiro Iinuma, the prime minister of Japan who becomes angered at Akira Takizawa for claiming to be the illegitimate son of Seijiro that she blames Akira for the death of her husband.
While she is referred to in The King of Eden, she is not actually seen until Paradise Lost.
Etymology[]
- The name Chigusa means "thousand" (千) (chi) and "grass, herb, weed" (草) (kusa/gusa).
- Chigusa's surname Iinuma means "food, meals" (飯) (ii) and "swamp, pond, bog" (沼) (numa).
